To perform an update on your V400m, first click on “Settings” at the bottom left of your terminal start screen. Using your four-digit code, which you can find on the instructions supplied with the terminal, you can open the “Configuration” option and click on the “Update” button.
Another option would be to restart your V400m using the power button on the side.
